I asked one of my kids today, “What do you think it would be like to move to another country?” The first he thing he said was, “Well, I would move to California—” and I cut him off. We all laughed for a good while.

Holiday season was a blur. Christmas with the bro’s at Pili’s. Dates with friends. New Year’s with the boys. Got more good news about literary things, wrote more poems, and drank a lot of champagne. I only have five minutes at a time of free thinking space while at school. I have so many ideas, things I want to write. I need to find time. These days I can muster just the energy needed to get here to work, leave, and sleep.
