there is an ocean in the universe older than God/ a hundred trillion times bigger than moananuiakea/ one day, me and the boys will load up the ‘yota/ grab our brews and weed and the speaker and roll right up to the shore/ park the car, pitch the tent, spark the grill, and kanikapila/ to the stars, to the planets, body surfing an endless wave wanting to be rain/ dancing holo waʻa pa for the gods/ in a seam torn from time and space/ where no one can hurt us anymore.
